The Village offers parent coaching in The Greater New Orleans area. I believe in the power of connection between parent and child. I believe children are capable and deserve to have their behavior understood, and that caregivers deserve support and guidance, in ways that fits their specific needs.

I believe everyone needs and deserves a village, but we all know a village is hard to come by. I offer support in different ways, and I can be there when you need me. I work with parents of children ages 1-10.

  • If you need to talk, I offer 1:1 coaching in person or online.

  • If you need support at home, guidance in the moment, I offer at-home parent coaching.

  • And if you want to build your own support systems with friends, family and other parents, I offer village gatherings.

I will guide you while respectfully reflecting together as you share about your family life and your goals. I will provide strategies, language suggestions and other resources to help you reach your goals. I will be your village.

I also offer teacher trainings and consulting to schools. See more here

Testimonials

Parent of Former Student

“Karin's calm presence and confidence is always encouraging. The way she communicates with our kids and to us about our kids reveals her respect for the kids as individuals and for us as unique parents. I feel like I can ask Karin anything without feeling judged and know that I will receive sound advice that takes our specific situation into perspective.”

I cannot speak highly enough of Karin as an educator and a person. She is warm, funny, intuitive, smart, and kind. You will not find anyone more attuned and relatable to children, as well as their parents. She has provided us with invaluable guidance for all three of our children as their teacher, giving us the tools and strategies to help our children grow and learn. It makes me so happy to consistently see the traits instill by Karin exhibited by our boys every day! My family feels so lucky that Karin was not only an amazing teacher to our children, but that she has become a friend.
